Since 1990, Rosi Orozco has been working on the promotion and defense of human rights, uniting several organizations’ efforts related to vulnerable people and family strengthening. Her altruistic efforts have prevented more than three million people from Human Trafficking through the media and have trained nearly 100,000 authorities. In the Mexico LXI Legislature, she promoted the Law vs. Trafficking until it was approved unanimously. She has directly supported more than 300 victims to write a new story. Her rescue work, creation of shelters, and defense of human rights has earned her a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. Her career has received distinctions, including Omecíhuatl Medal, 150 Bravest Women in the World, Award for Positive Attitude in Public Wellness, 50 Most Powerful Women in Mexico, Golden Microphone, Unlikely Heroes, Those Who Inspire, among others. She has published 5 books, related to the advice and prevention of sexual human trafficking in minors. In 1995, she and her husband founded “Casa Sobre la Roca, A.C” (House on the Rock, Civil Association). Then in 2012, she started an organization called “Comisión Unidos Vs Trata” (Together Against Human Trafficking), a Mexican NGO that works with several NGO ́s, to denounce criminals dedicated to steal and exploit minors. Her message is “In
Mexico, Human Lives Are Not On Sale” and “Together We Make The Difference”.
