From the Harpoon to Fish Farming
Men have gone fishing to feed themselves throughout history. It may have started by using a harpoon, then a line with a hook. The use of traps and fishing nets may have followed. The Chinese proverb of “Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day…Teach him how to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime” focuses on the individual. However, taking it a step further we could add “Teach him how to grow fish and he will feed countless others for life” is significantly more impactful and highlights Community Sustainability that can be Multiplied.
